Rachel was homeschooled pre-K through high school which allowed her to dedicate time to pursue her passion in music. From a young age, she loved assisting her mother with learning and leading music at vacation bible school at their church. This love grew to a passion for learning to sing, play piano, guitar and pipe organ.

​After taking private lessons in these various instruments, by high school Rachel was assistant directing the children’s choir at her church. At age 16 she became a part time pianist and six months later, a full time organist. Since then, she’s continued as a musician in various capacities. You can currently find her at All Saints Chapel as pianist for their Protestant Service on Sunday mornings, as well as music directing at House Theatre with several of their programs.

Rachel's Teaching Style:

"My teaching style is very laid back and I use a variety of curricula for both piano and vocal lessons. I believe everyone is born with music inside of them that comes out in various forms, whether dancing, singing or playing an instrument! Just as young children sing and dance their hearts out without any fear (as they haven’t yet developed a worry of what others think), I believe people of all ages should be able to express themselves creatively through music.My goal as a teacher is to access that God-given enjoyment of music already inside of them and build the student’s confidence by allowing them to help choose what songs they learn, making both the lesson and practicing fun. ANYONE can sing or play an instrument; it just takes instruction and practice to make it happen."
