Lauren is originally from Northford, CT and moved to the Charleston area in 2024! Lauren graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a bachelors degree in music education from PreK to 12th. She taught general music grades 3-5 at a public elementary school while living in Fernandina Beach, Florida.  She also taught private lessons at a local music school. She is excited to continue her music education career in the Lowcountry of SC! ​

Lauren's Teaching Style

"One of my biggest joys in teaching is seeing the excitement a child has when they realize they can create and perform music themselves. This is why one of my most important beliefs in teaching is that the student must enjoy what they are learning! I want music to be an exciting activity and experience for them. No matter if we’re working on theory or technique, all my lessons are personalized for your child. A well rounded relationship between teacher and student is something that I feel really impacts how much a student will learn. As we continue working together, I will discover more ways to achieve greatness in our lessons and find what works best for your child!"
