​Jill is an experienced and highly skilled music teacher who has been providing music lessons for over 25 years. Originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, she has been residing in the Charleston area since 2018 and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Flute Performance and a minor in Piano from Oral Roberts University. She has an impressive musical background, having performed on the piccolo with the Virginia Beach Symphony Orchestra and at The White House with the Chesapeake Flute Consort. During her high school years, she had the privilege of performing with Ransom Wilson in The Pied Piper production. Currently, Jill is playing as a piano accompanist for Musical Theater productions at House Theatre. She enjoys sharing her love of music by teaching piano and flute lessons, as well as beginner trumpet, clarinet, and saxophone lessons.

Jill's Teaching Style

With a friendly and engaging teaching style, I take great pleasure in instilling the love of music in young minds and helping them to achieve their potential as budding musicians. My teaching approach places significant emphasis on rhythmic accuracy and note reading. To make learning fun and engaging, I incorporate enjoyable games and creative musical exercises throughout the lessons to give students ample opportunities to improve their skills.​
